For the Birds

wreath1The ladies at church keep things nicely decorated and seasonal. So it seemed a bit odd to ride by and see wreaths for Mother’s Day still on the doors. That is, until you take a closer look . . .

 

wreath2Yes, those are baby birds. Their mama built their nest in the wreath.

If you look at the top photo, you can see the window behind the wreath. That’s giving everyone, particularly the kids, a great view of the birds without disturbing them. So far no one has. Everyone is thrilled by this.

So, of course, the Mother’s Day wreaths hang in place until the birds leave. They were about fledgling size the last I saw them, and may have already flow away by this morning.
